At Molex, we are looking for a passionate Product Development Engineer to join our High Voltage Connector team, where your expertise in fundamental engineering principles and critical thinking will directly influence the development of advanced, high-performance products.

In this role, you will leverage powerful design tools such as CAD, tolerance analysis, FEA, FMEA, and DVP&R to create innovative solutions and overcome technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, take ownership of product designs, and contribute to delivering outstanding results within schedule - supported by mentorship from experienced leaders.

You will be working with engineering, production, operations cross functionally at a global scope. Most of team members within your team are based across the globe. You will directly reporting to the Engineering Manager High Power Europe/India.

• Support concept development, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet customer requirements.
• Conduct DFMEA, FEA, tolerance analysis, and other analytical studies with guidance from senior engineers.
• Create and maintain product models and drawings using GD&T, ensuring proper datum selection, dimensioning, and tolerancing, with support from experienced engineers.
• Assist in documenting project scope, requirements, feasibility, and engineering work plans.
• Develop test plans (DVP&R) and analyze test results using statistical methods; perform DOE, Hypothesis Testing, and Capability Studies.
• Lead root cause analysis using structured problem‑solving methods like 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams with senior guidance.
• Select materials for plastic injection molded and metal stamped components.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Extensive experience in product design and its workflows
• Solid understanding of CAD/3D Modelling, Plastic, and Injection Molding
• Experience using analytical studies (FEA, tolerance stacks, DFMEA, etc.) as part of a product development process
• Solid knowledge of validation plans and analysing test results to ensure a product meets performance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to use structured problem‑solving methods to systematically determine root causes for complex technical issues
• Ability to travel approximately 20% (international)
• Fluent in English and German
