What You Would Get To Do

The Senior Team Lead will assume a key role within the organization by leading and motivating colleagues in a way that enhances working relationships and encapsulates FIRST values and our client’s brand. The individual will ensure the project team consistently delivers exceptional service to our clients through excellent project management and deliver world‑class events that exceed client expectations. Along with other FIRST team members, the Senior Team Lead will represent the FIRST Solutions brand on‑site within a well‑known tech company.

This position is ideal for a corporate event‑planning professional with experience managing and motivating team members.

Your Contributions
  • Responsible for all aspects of on‑site event services delivery, which includes developing processes, training team members, and driving innovations and efficiencies
  • Direct or indirect management of teams, including Team Leads, where applicable, of the EP/EM team for a site location(s)
  • Assume responsibility as the most senior member of the on‑site Event Services teams for a distinct site location, manage escalations and creatively solve
  • Have oversight of team workload, ensuring day‑to‑day understanding of capacity/pressure points and assisting/offering guidance on the team’s events where required
  • Successfully liaise across different levels within the immediate team, the client’s organization, and other vendor partners
  • Thoroughly and comprehensively understand how our team supports and executes event services to effectively mentor and support team members onsite
  • Identify new and alternative ways of approaching FIRST’s event management and event production offering to clients by collecting feedback, identifying trends and implementing changes, including ongoing development and review of planning, execution and post‑event processes
  • Drive team development and skills through consistent cross‑functional training and supporting a strong and engaging performance program across the team, clearly outlining development of skills, attributes and growth, and providing feedback to team members on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure policies and procedures resources are updated, complete and available and that staff are adhering to these resources
  • Handle event escalations as needed and actively review and discuss post‑event feedback, highlighting issues and ensuring that they will be escalated and resolved accordingly, and apply forward‑thinking issue mitigation
  • Provide input and feedback on big picture opportunities, issues, and challenges within the organization supporting the Event Management Campus/Regional Leader
  • Motivate the team to work efficiently, be knowledgeable of best practices, new suppliers, services, and venues, and to be proactive with ideas and creative solutions
  • Advise on the planning and execution of events for designated high‑profile groups, overseeing the execution of larger‑scale events
  • Partner with FIRST People & Culture on company initiatives, recruiting, and employee relations matters
  • Partner with leadership and the client on various strategic initiatives and projects
What We Are Looking For
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must be fluent in German and English
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead by example
  • High level of proficiency in the delivery of high‑quality events
  • Ability to work fully onsite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across clients and stakeholders at all levels in a fast‑paced environment
  • Decision maker and creative problem solver with a collaborative/team‑player attitude
  • Positive and caring approach to team management
  • Adaptability to situations and ever‑changing demands
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management and multi‑tasking skills
  • Ambitious and proactive with a calm and flexible approach to handling pressure
  • Experience working on large and complex databases
  • This role will require flexibility to be deployed across the campus as required and work outside of standard hours as business needs dictate
