Stellenbezeichnung: Director Programs (m,f,d)

We are seeking a highly motivated Director Programs (m/f/d) to lead and scale our program execution organization at ARX Robotics. In this role, you will be responsible not only for delivering strategic programs, but also for leading the Program Management team, defining execution standards, and ensuring excellence across all customer and internal programs.

This position is ideal for a senior leader who thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong organizational leadership, and excels at managing both direct and indirect teams across complex stakeholder landscapes.

You will oversee the full program portfolio, including existing contracted programs and future opportunities, while building a high-performing Program Management function that enables scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Program Management team, ensuring high performance, consistency, and professional growth across all program managers
  • Own the end-to-end program portfolio, ensuring delivery of all programs on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Establish and continuously improve program management frameworks, governance structures, and execution standards across the organization
  • Act as senior interface for key customers, strategic partners, and high-level stakeholders
  • Oversee coordination across cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, business development, product, etc.) to ensure aligned execution across all programs
  • Support and guide business development and capture activities, including proposals, bids, and strategic contract shaping
  • Ensure strong alignment between internal execution teams and external partners, fostering long‑term trusted relationships
  • Provide executive-level oversight of risks, dependencies, and opportunities across all active programs, ensuring proactive mitigation and escalation where required
  • Drive organizational alignment through clear reporting, portfolio-level visibility, and structured communication across all levels of the company
  • Enable and reinforce a culture of accountability, ownership, and execution excellence across the Program Management organization
  • Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, agile, and rapidly scaling environment, balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight when required
Requirements
  • Experience in program or project management, including leadership of complex, multi‑stakeholder programs
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing program managers or equivalent delivery teams
  • Background in defence
  • Experience working in military, public sector, or private sector environments (all equally valued)
  • Strong leadership capability with demonstrated ability to build, develop, and scale high‑performing teams
  • Excellent ability to lead through influence across cross‑functional and indirect teams
  • High degree of ownership, strategic thinking, and accountability
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at executive level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving and evolving environment
  • Fluent in English and German
