As a Sales and Marketing Account Director
, you will direct a team across clients, ensuring the successful implementation of sales and trade marketing activities. Position based in Frankfurt or Munich, Germany.
- Lead strategic planning and campaign development for major US destination and tourism account
- Create annual marketing plans and growth strategies, working closely with internal teams and client stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships across travel trade, media, airlines, tour operators, hotels and suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and manage external partners to ensure quality, performance and budget control
- Act as a trusted senior advisor to clients and internal teams
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team
- Allocate resources, manage workloads, and troubleshoot challenges as they arise
- Support new business pitches, proposals and presentations
- Act as a brand ambassador for MMGY Global across the industry
You’re a strategic, commercially minded leader with a deep understanding of the US travel market and a passion for delivering results.
You bring:- 7+ years’ experience in the tourism or travel marketing industry
- Native or fluent German language skills (both written and verbal). B2 level CEFR is sufficient.
- In-depth knowledge of the tourism industry within the DACH market (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), especially outbound travel to the United States
- Extensive experience leading US destination accounts and North American market campaigns
- A strong network across the US travel trade, media and commercial partners
- Proven experience managing people, budgets and multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A “get it done” mindset and a collaborative leadership style
- Degree-level qualification (sales/marketing preferred)
