Media Relations Specialist

• Support strategic corporate media relations for national and international clients and manage own projects
• Expand Edelman's media expertise in Germany
• Develop media strategies and advise clients on positioning and different formats
• Develop topics, stories, and content from earned storytelling to paid campaigns
• Position C-level executives in leading media, coordinate and support interviews, and create Linked In content
• Maintain existing media contacts and continuously expand the network
• Coordinate content activation across multiple channels, manage campaigns, and conduct media analyses
• Write excellent journalistic texts across formats, from opinion pieces to study marketing

Requirements

• Ideally, a university degree, preferably in journalism, communications, or a related field
• At least three years of experience in journalism and media relations
• Extensive knowledge of the German media landscape, especially leading and opinion media and the technology sector
• Comprehensive network of media and stakeholder contacts
• Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for networking and media topics
• Strong sense for brands, people, and stories
• Ability to produce short and long journalistic formats under time pressure
• Interest in the development of the digital and media world
• Experience using artificial intelligence to create content and in media relations
• Ability to independently manage and advance projects
• Analytical and structured thinking
• Very good German and English, spoken and written
• Willingness to work in an international network and implement global projects collaboratively
