About the role
We’re hiring our first Talent Recruiter to build our hiring engine from the ground up. As one of our early team members, you’ll work alongside our founders and own full-cycle recruiting across engineering and go-to-market. You will design an outstanding candidate experience, create scalable processes, and help us bring exceptional people into Mercura.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone with high agency who loves sourcing, closing, and setting a high talent bar in an early-stage startup.
What you will be working onOwn the full recruitment life cycle, from sourcing to offer acceptance
Design and execute active sourcing strategies to identify exceptional candidates and build strong long-term relationships with the best talent
Evaluate candidates for skill and culture fit, and manage all candidate communication
Design and run recruiting events and initiatives to promote Mercura as one of the most exciting places to work
- You have 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-growth environments (e.g., VC, startup, tech); technical recruiting exposure is a strong plus
- You have demonstrated success sourcing hard‑to‑find profiles and running structured candidate pipeline building
- You’re resourceful, energetic, and relationship‑driven; you love meeting great people and convincing them to join a mission
- Ideally, you are in Munich or willing to relocate
- Fluent in English and German

The target total compensation (cash+bonus+equity) for this position is €70,000‑€100,000 annually (full‑time, pro rata for part‑time). Actual offers and compensation are based on specific job duties, experience, performance, total rewards structure, and other considerations.
About the interviewStep 1:
Intro call
Casual intro meeting with one of the founders to get to know each other and introduce Mercura.
Step 2:
Practical exercise & role play
Two practical exercises to showcase your skills, followed by calls to walk us through your approach, insights, and solution for the exercise.
Step 3:
Personal fit Interview
Meet another co‑founder member to get a feel for our culture and working style.
Step 4:
On‑Site
Work alongside the entire team for a day on‑site from our Munich office to fully immerse yourself in our culture and collaboration style. This on‑site will be paid.
Step 5:
Offer & Reference Checks
If we see a great fit, you will get an offer, including a competitive compensation package with equity participation. At the same time, we’ll ask you to provide 2‑3 references so we can gather additional insights into your strengths and working style.

For Full‑Stack/AI Engineers: €10,000 bonus
For BDRs/AEs: €5,000 bonus
For internships/part‑time roles: €500 bonus
Any other role: €1,000 bonus
