Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We build space vehicles for humanity. Not as a tagline. Not as a marketing line. As the literal, daily reality of every person on our team. We are in the middle of a space exploration renaissance, one that happens once in a generation. In just four years, we built two demonstrator capsules, signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA (the first European company ever to do so), booked 10 missions, and began developing Storm, a high‑thrust staged combustion rocket engine.

We operate across seven countries, backed by tier‑one investors. And we are just getting started. If you join TEC, you are not taking a job. You are choosing an expedition.

Our mission: We build space vehicles for humanity, enabling everyone to participate peacefully in the building of our human future in space.

1. We work on‑site, together. Minimum three days a week in person, full presence. We'll always work with real life but our baseline is genuine commitment. If you need a fully remote role, we're probably not the right fit right now.

2. We are in build season. The pace is high, the stakes are real, the urgency is genuine. Steady and comfortable won't feel like enough here.

3. We expect extreme ownership. We want people who feel the mission personally, who care about Nyx, Storm and what we're building beyond their job description. This culture asks a lot. Willingly.

But if this excites you more than it worries you, few people get the chance to work on something history will remember. Nobody climbs Everest without full commitment. Nobody builds a space capsule or a rocket engine without it either. This is that moment. This is that team.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you'll be a trusted advisor to leaders and teams across a global business of 600 people. You'll lead on our most critical people priorities, performance, development, culture, leadership coaching and complex global projects. This is not a support role. It's a seat at the table.

• Performance & growth Own and evolve our performance philosophy, build frameworks that inspire growth rather than generate anxiety; use people data to drive smart decisions

• People development Design and deliver programmes that stretch and retain talent, champion continuous learning from IC to senior leadership

• Leadership coaching Be a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, navigate complex challenges with confidence, discretion and sound judgement

• Culture & engagement Guard and grow the TEC culture, bring intentionality to the moments that matter

• Global projects Lead cross‑functional people initiatives across geographies; bring structure and pace to ambiguous, high‑stakes programmes

• Significant experience as a senior HR Business Partner or People Partner in a fast‑scaling, international organisation

• A track record of leading on performance, development and transformation, not just supporting it

• The confidence to challenge and advise senior stakeholders with credibility and warmth

• Comfortable with people data, you use it to tell compelling stories

• Fluency in English essential, German or French an advantage

• Curiosity about our mission matters more than aerospace experience, though both is ideal

• High‑impact role with real autonomy to shape how people partnering works at TEC

• Collaborative, international team that values substance over hierarchy

• Salary: €77,500 – €105,000 per annum, depending on experience

• Relocation support to Munich
