We are looking for a Legal Counsel Enterprise Contracting EMEA to join our Enterprise Contracting Center. In this role, you will provide pragmatic legal advice, negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, and drive contracting excellence across the EMEA region while supporting digital transformation, automation, and AI-enabled contracting solutions.
The Role:Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements across the EMEA region, including (Master) Services Agreements, Healthcare Professional and Health Care Organization agreements, Patient agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, and related contracts.
Provide practical, risk-based legal advice that supports business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders throughout the entire contract lifecycle.
Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, playbooks, and contracting processes to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization.
Deliver training and guidance to business partners on contracting topics and best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and legal innovation.
Support the implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management tools and AI-enabled contracting solutions.
Collaborate with legal colleagues and business partners across multiple countries and cultures throughout the EMEA region.
YourSkills and Experience:
- Qualified lawyer with the required legal qualifications to practice in an EMEA jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or international corporate environment.
- Strong experience in commercial contracting, contract drafting, and negotiations.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Additional EMEA language skills are an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and provide clear, actionable advice.
- Experience working across jurisdictions and in multicultural environments.
- Interest in legal technology, automation, AI, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- Exposure to legal operations, legal engineering, process optimization, or design thinking methodologies.
- Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management systems and digital contracting solutions.
