Your mission

We are simple system – a fast-growing B2B SaaS company based in Munich and Cologne, developing industry-leading procurement software incl. a state-of-the-art B2B marketplace for mid‑sized businesses across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With 23,000+ monthly users, 850+ suppliers and partners, €150M+ in platform transaction volume and a 40‑person team, we are building the next generation of B2B commerce. And we’re just getting started.

The engineering team works closely with business and product, has an impact on the product development roadmap and full autonomy of the tools and technologies used. At simple system we build the best product in the market by fighting for the best solution internally – the engineering perspective being on eye level with the business and product perspective. Our B2B solution has been designed and developed according to modern methodologies and principles.

You will be joining a cross‑functional team of very experienced engineers, who believe in making great products and have all the technical skills to make it happen. Occasionally, we meet together to discuss the most important project matters and get to know each other during project workshops (on‑site in Warsaw or Munich). Our technology stack:
Spring Boot, Postgre

SQL, Elasticsearch, Mongo

DB, Kafka, Arch Unit, AWS S3, Cloud Watch, EKS, Prometheus, Alert manager, Grafana, Kubernetes, Git Hub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Cypress.

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for the design and development of the backend services of the system. You will be joining a cross‑functional team of very experienced engineers, who believe in making great products and have all the technical skills to make it happen. You will leverage AI smartly in your day‑to‑day work and as a powerful building block in customer‑centric feature development.

• 5+ years of professional experience building modern web applications
• Good command of recent Java versions (preferably 19+)
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot (preferably 3+)
• Ability to make design decisions that result in correct, reliable, performant & scalable systems
• Experience with Scrum / Agile environment
• Be open and willing to learn from mistakes
• Fluent in English

• Hands‑on experience with Elastic Search, Mongo
  
  DB or Kafka
• Experience with AWS or Kubernetes
• Experience with Kotlin
