Staff Software Engineer, Robot Platform

A humanoid robotics company in Munich is building robots that live in real homes with real people, starting with care for the elderly.

Not a lab demo. Not a warehouse. Someone's living room.

They already have units in homes. Hundreds of seniors across Germany and Switzerland have tested them, and the feedback has been extraordinary. The fleet goes from 3 to around 20 by the end of the year, and the round after this one is aimed at 500+.

This is the person who builds the platform that makes that possible

• Greenfield. You define the architecture, there is nothing to inherit
• Hardware abstraction layer, control integration, process orchestration
• Whole-body motion and indoor mobility
• The OTA and fleet management backbone: staged rollouts, rollback, remote provisioning, health monitoring
• Observability across the fleet, logging, metrics, tracing, black box recording
• Hardware and software integration, bring-up, calibration, new sensors and actuators

• Deep hands‑on robotics hardware experience, 5+ years
• ROS2, Docker, arm
  64, Linux, Jetson
• Kinematics and dynamics, control and actuation, navigation and mobility
• Mobile manipulation or industrial arms in your background
• Humanoids ideal, AMR and mobile manipulator platforms also very welcome
• You work across the whole stack. If you have spent your career in one narrow lane, this will not suit you

• Small team, four people, direct line to the CTO. Your decisions ship
• Real deployments, real users, real feedback, not a roadmap slide
