Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Munich

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join a fast-moving product engineering team building and scaling a modern software platform.

You will work across frontend, backend, architecture, and platform topics, taking ownership of technical initiatives from initial concept through to production. The team is looking for a broad, adaptable engineer who can understand how complex systems fit together rather than specialising exclusively in one part of the stack.

AI-assisted development is a core part of the engineering environment. You will be expected to use modern AI tools effectively to accelerate development while applying strong engineering judgement around architecture, code quality, security, and cost.

This role is ideal for a highly autonomous engineer with strong full-stack capabilities, architectural experience, an interest in security, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to the architecture and continued evolution of a rapidly growing software platform.
• Take ownership of technical initiatives from initial concept through design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop scalable backend services and modern frontend applications.
• Work across multiple programming languages and technologies depending on the technical challenge.
• Apply strong system thinking to understand how frontend, backend, infrastructure, and surrounding services interact.
• Incorporate security considerations into application and platform development.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software engineering workflows.
• Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code and technical solutions rather than relying on generated output without evaluation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and company leadership on technical decisions.
• Challenge existing approaches and contribute to decisions around architecture, technologies, and product development.
• Work with a high degree of autonomy in a self-organised product engineering environment.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with technical ability and breadth valued more highly than years of experience alone.
• Strong Full-Stack software development experience across both backend and frontend technologies.
• Experience with multiple programming languages and the ability to quickly become productive in unfamiliar technology stacks.
• Experience with multiple backend technologies such as Go, Java, Kotlin, and/or Spring Boot

• Experience with Type Script/Java Script and modern frontend development.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and how different components of a software platform interact
  .
• Experience or a strong technical interest in application security, authentication, authorisation, IAM, or secure software development
  .
• Practical experience using modern AI-assisted software development tools and workflows
  .
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code and make independent technical and architectural decisions.
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to organise and drive technical work independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving product environment where technologies and requirements can evolve quickly.
• Fluent English;
  German skills are advantageous but not required.
• Willingness to work from the Munich office approximately 2-3 days per week
