About The JobThis is a cornerstone hire for a brand-new Business & Commercial Analytics function. As a Senior Business Analyst at Omaze, you will be a key member of Omaze’s lean data function. Reporting into the VP, Head of Data and Analytics, you'll be the analytical engine behind how Omaze understands and grows its commercial performance owning day-to-day business and commercial analytics across Omaze’s German business, supporting prizing, marketing, and growth.
You will work hands‑on every day, partnering directly with senior leaders across our German and UK teams, creating a unified 360‑degree view of our customers, interrogating subscription and pay‑as‑you‑go (PAYG) behaviour, and turning complex data into clear, confident commercial decisions.
You will also set the bar, the methods we trust, the metrics we agree on, and the pitfalls we never repeat. Turning cohort retention curves and survival models into clear views on which behaviours, segments and journeys drive durable value will be your day‑to‑day, and building advanced behavioural segmentation that the company can act on is how you will drive significant value across the company.
It's a high‑visibility role with ownership and freedom to shape how commercial analytics is done at Omaze in Germany.
- Develop a comprehensive view of customer behaviour across web and mobile experiences.
- Define lifecycle stages, customer segments, and key LTV drivers across both subscription and pay‑as‑you‑go customers.
- Build a deeper understanding of what drives acquisition, engagement, retention, and long‑term value.
- Lead pricing, margin, contribution, and profitability analysis.
- Identify commercial opportunities through customer, product, and cohort analysis.
- Support decision‑making with clear recommendations grounded in data.
- Build retention models, churn diagnostics, survival analyses, and customer forecasting models.
- Identify drivers of retention and develop actionable strategies to improve customer lifetime value.
- Analyse dormant user behaviour and reactivation opportunities.
- Help define and evolve Omaze Germany's measurement framework and key performance metrics.
- Apply advanced causal inference techniques when traditional A/B testing isn't possible, including:
- Difference-in-differences
- Synthetic controls
- Propensity modelling
- Instrumental variables
- Geo‑based experiments
- Build revenue forecasts, scenario models, and opportunity‑sizing frameworks.
- Support planning across draw cycles, marketing investment, and commercial strategy.
- Bring data‑driven insight into prioritisation discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Ensure robust tracking and instrumentation across customer journeys.
- Conduct proactive deep‑dives and root‑cause analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
- Help establish best practices, analytical standards, and a culture of evidence‑based decision‑making across the business.
