Research Analyst - Physical & Computational Biology (6 to 12 months from Feb 2026)

We are looking for a Research Analyst to expand our presence in Physical & Computational Biology. The role lasts 6‑12 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a full‑time investment position later.

As a Research Analyst you will work closely with the investment team to shape our investment thesis, identify game‑changing opportunities, conduct independent research at the interface of biology and computational science, and gain exposure to the full venture‑capital process.

• Drive lasting impact by actively formulating our investment thesis in physical & computational biology.
• Build a strong network for our portfolio through key opinion leaders and experts, enabling better investment decisions and portfolio support.
• Lead deep‑dive research on the intersection of biology & deep tech, sourcing promising start‑ups that align with our strategy.
• Gain full exposure to the investment process from first contact through deal closing.

• Strong academic background in biology, biotechnology or a related field;
  PhDs encouraged.
• Ideally paired with expertise in computer science or engineering.
• Understanding of the role of data in biotech and strategies for data collection and utilisation.
• Strong analytical capabilities; able to translate technical papers into business models and founder conversations.
• Extreme ownership and high agency; design and execute plans independently.
• First‑hand experience in fast‑paced environments such as startups or engineering competitions.
• Clear communication in both German and English.
