Mathematics Münster at the University of Münster is seeking to fill up to 9 positions for

to commence as soon as possible and no later than autumn 2027. Positions are available in all mathematical fields related to the work being undertaken at the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster: “Dynamics – Geometry – Structure”.

We are offering the fixed-term full-time positions (100% FTE) for 3 years. Depending on the source of funding, you may be required to teach up to 4 hours per week during the semester. Some of the positions are funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster, while others are funded by the University of Münster’s mathematical institutes, for example, the Chair for Applied Analysis.

The financial terms of the positions remain consistent regardless of the funding source.

These positions are designed to support work towards a further qualification for an academic career.

• You hold a strong doctorate in mathematics or a related field.
• Your research interests and a proposal for your own research project align with atleast one of Mathematics Münster’s research fields. We also encourage projects thatfoster links between our existing research fields.
• You can demonstrate outstanding scientific achievements by, for example, adoctorate with honours, publications, awards or similar.
• You conduct independent scientific work and are also able to work in a team.
• You show a high level of ambition for, commitment to and enjoyment in scientificwork.
• You speak and write English fluently. German language skills are not required.

As a member of the Mathematics Münster Postdoc Programme you will be a vital part of the international research community within the Cluster of Excellence.
