We are looking for an exceptional software engineer passionate about open source, Linux, and scalable web services. The position offers the opportunity to work with a global, distributed team and to ship high‑velocity, reliable services that support millions of users.

• Collaborate with a globally distributed team to design, build, and maintain clean web‑service APIs (Python, optional Go).
• Write production‑ready code and design features from specification to production, ensuring high reliability at scale.
• Review code and technical designs produced by other engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement, participate in code reviews, and help shape engineering standards.
• Travel globally (2–4 weeks per year) to attend internal and external events.

• Professional proficiency in developing public‑facing APIs and web applications using Python.
• Strong foundation in backend development and infrastructure; comfortable with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
• Experience designing relational and non‑relational database schemas; able to tune queries for performance.
• Academic background:
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM or a comparable technical discipline.
