We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Type Script, NestJS/Node.js) to join our Fulfilment team based in Munich or working remotely from Germany. In this role, you will work on the backend systems that support how customers earn, track, and redeem cashback across our reward platforms. You will contribute to the services behind transaction handling, partner integrations, reward processing, and reliable fulfilment flows.

• Build and improve backend services that support cashback, redemption, fulfilment flows, and reliable reward experiences across Atolls platforms.
• Develop scalable APIs and services using Type Script, Node.js, NestJS, and related backend technologies, with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate fulfilment needs into clear technical solutions.
• Integrate and maintain partner APIs, third‑party systems, and internal services that support transaction and reward processing.
• Improve performance, observability, testing, and documentation across services that sit close to the customer cashback journey.
• Guide technical decisions, contribute to code reviews, and support engineering quality through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

• You have 6+ years of experience in software development, with strong backend engineering skills.
• You are confident working with Type Script, Node.js, NestJS, REST APIs, and service‑oriented or microservice architectures.
• You have experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including databases, queues, event‑driven systems, or distributed services.
• You understand common backend architecture patterns and can design systems that are scalable, maintainable, and reliable.
• You care about clean code, automated testing, documentation, observability, and long‑term maintainability.
• You bring a structured approach to problem‑solving and can balance technical quality with product and business priorities.
• You communicate clearly in English and enjoy working in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.
• Experience with GraphQL, federation, Supergraph concepts, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, Git Lab, Docker, or CI/CD practices is a plus.
