Software Test Engineer

• Support the team in software testing and software quality assurance
• Ensure software quality standards for functionality, UX, security, performance, and reliability
• Conduct manual and automated software tests, including unit, integration, end-to-end, system, and regression testing
• Plan the test scope independently based on requirements and risks
• Define and maintain test cases, test plans, and test strategies
• Document error analysis and hand it over to development
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews as part of the agile team
• Support 2nd and 3rd level support

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software testing
• Experience with manual and automated testing
• Native-level German proficiency / German C2 level
• On-site availability in Nürnberg in a hybrid arrangement; not full remote
• Experience with test automation, integration testing, and unit testing
• Programming knowledge in JavaScript and C#
• ISTQB certification (nice-to-have)
• Experience with Scrum/agile processes (nice-to-have)
• Background in web application testing (nice-to-have)
• Previous software development experience (nice-to-have)

Demonstrates expertise in software testing and quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual and automated testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and regression testing. Proficient in defining test cases and strategies while ensuring adherence to software quality standards.
