Automotive Vehicle Technician – Software Updates and Maintenance

It is also possible to join this position in Ingolstadt (on-site).

• Perform software and hardware updates on development, prototype, and test vehicles.
• Execute vehicle flashing, coding, and configuration activities.
• Support vehicle fleet calibration and ensure correct software and hardware configurations.
• Manage software versions, update packages, and vehicle configuration data.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics and troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues.
• Carry out vehicle inspections, maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
• Identify, analyze, and document technical issues during vehicle preparation and testing.
• Ensure vehicle readiness and availability for development and validation activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, testing, and fleet management teams.

• Technical education in Automotive Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Technology, or a comparable field.
• Experience in automotive workshops, vehicle development, prototype operations, or testing environments.
• Knowledge of vehicle electronics, diagnostics, and automotive systems.
• Experience with vehicle software updates, ECU flashing, or calibration activities is an advantage.
• Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic and flashing tools such as ODIS, INCA, CANoe
• Experience with prototype vehicles and pre-series development.
• Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Prototype driving license
• Fluent in both English and German
