This is a great opportunity with AVI SPL. We are looking for indviduals with HGB + Bilanzbuchhaltungs-Skills. This offers a great opportunity for profile being a "Steuerfachangestellte" or "Steuerfachwirt" and who would like to develop their career with a global player in the ProAV industry.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide relocation support and can only consider profiles who are residing in Germany already and have a valid working and residence permit.

German skills are also essential for this role. We require minimum B1 German skills, which will allow us to support improving your German skills by offering professional language courses.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

A Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information by resolving accounting issues and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. They establish quality control over financial transactions and reports to ensure data reliability, supporting sound decisions and protecting the organization’s financial credibility, as well supporting the account payables team.

  • Monthly Accounting Close: Execute journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting during the monthly accounting close process.
  • Financial Statement Accuracy: Identify, research, and resolve issues affecting financial statement accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial & Analytical Support: Provide financial and analytical support to various departments, including monthly variance analysis and maintenance of deferral schedules.
  • Audit Support: Support the preparation and execution of financial audits.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain proper documentation of monthly data, financial analysis, audit-related materials and reporting according to US-GAAP/ HGB accounting principles.
  • Process Improvement & Coordination: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, assist with special projects, and communicate financial risks/issues to management.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor Professional degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relevant working experience (Bilanzbuchhalter, Steuerfachwirt, Steuerfachangestellter).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting. Fluency in German and English.
  • Experience in multi-state or complex business environments is an advantage.
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Excellent strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel) and general ledger/financial reporting software (e.g., Sage, TM1).
  • Interpersonal & Communication

    Skills:

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate conflicts and build constructive relationships at all levels of the organization and a proactive mindset.
  • Independent & Deadline-Driven: Self-starter capable of working independently, balancing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines in dynamic environments.
