Customer Service Rep - German Speaking Banking Ops

Our client, a global technology services company, is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join their Banking Operations team in Berlin. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your back-office banking experience and German language skills within a structured and professional environment, supporting a major financial institution.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be a key part of the back-office operations team. You will manage essential banking processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your work will directly contribute to providing a seamless and reliable service for customers by handling complex inquiries and transactions efficiently through written communication channels.

Responsibilities
  • Manage customer accounts and data with high accuracy.
  • Process payment transactions, bookings, and other back-office tasks.
  • Resolve complex customer inquiries via email and ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Fraud and KYC departments.
  • Ensure all activities comply with German banking regulations.
  • Deliver a fair, consistent, and transparent customer experience.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer support or back-office role.
  • Experience with in a financial institution in the German market.
  • A completed banking apprenticeship or a comparable qualification.
  • Fluent written and spoken German is essential for this role.
  • Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
