Senior Consumer Insights Manager – DACH (m/f/d)
Location:
Cologne, Germany (on site). This full‑time position offers opportunities for career growth within a global market research company that combines an AI‑powered insights platform with expert consultancy.
Act as a senior research consultant, advising and coaching clients through the entire market research process, from methodology selection to results interpretation and presentation. Serve as a true sparring partner, driving client engagement through storytelling and innovative methods while contributing strategically to product development.
Responsibilities- Act as a sparring partner for clients in the design, adaptation, and analysis of market research projects.
- Design studies (methodology, target group, sample size) and create bespoke questionnaires across use cases (U&A, tracking, concept testing, creative testing, Max Diff, Conjoint).
- Set up questionnaires and fieldwork on the Appinio platform and interpret results.
- Develop actionable recommendations and in‑depth reports (charting, design, insights).
- Present insights with a focus on storytelling, actionability and clear recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team on project scoping for new customers.
- Manage projects and contribute to the strategic development of the Research Consulting Team and Appinio products.
- Integrate AI across all research steps, collaborating with the Product team to enhance AI capabilities.
- More than 6 years of experience in end‑to‑end market research and consulting with B2B clients.
- Strong knowledge of quantitative methods and statistics.
- Experience designing studies, writing questionnaires, and working across various research methods and use cases.
- Proficient at creating reports (PowerPoint or Google Slides), generating actionable insights, and presenting them through clear storytelling.
- Strategic and commercially minded approach, translating insights into business impact.
- Fluent in English and proficient in German (C2 level, spoken and written).
- Hands‑on experience with tools and platforms including survey programming and process optimization.
- Proactive, curious, and driven to deliver high‑quality outcomes while balancing excellence and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, pragmatic mindset, and strong affinity for data.
- Cooperative and caring attitude.
