AboutThe Team
Our international and agile team is looking for a proactive and organized individual in the Propulsion team as a Propulson Production Engineer - someone with a technical background in mechanical, production, or aerospace engineering to oversee engine production, lifecycle management, and BOMs. The ideal candidate will act as the critical link between Propulsion and Production, driving process improvements, fostering cross‑functional collaboration, and ensuring engines meet quality, cost, and delivery targets in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
YourTasks
- Responsible for the release and management of engine production and BOMs for the entire Helix engine, and following along our engines through their life cycle on the manufacturing and assembly floor
- Work across the business with your colleagues in Supply Chain, Quality, Production and Operations to ensure engines are built to specification and on time.
- Develop new processes and toolsets to better connect our teams, reducing administrative overheads for Production whilst providing more insights into how our engines are built.
- As the main interface between Propulsion and Production, deliver further reforms such as part manufacturability, better quality controls and continuous improvement of work practice with a specific eye oriented at cost reduction.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering, Aerospace, or related technical disciplines.
- At least one year’s experience in manufacturing environments in a technical role, additional time served in other aerospace or engineering industries is desirable (one year or more), experience in fast‑paced/unstructured companies is desirable.
- Self‑independent, a structured way of working and committed to working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fair knowledge of manufacturing processes, how to organise work activities and tasks for industry, and management of assemblies. Pre‑existing knowledge of spaceflight and rockets is desirable.
- Experience with CAD tools required, that with ERP or MES and business intelligence platforms desirable. Experience with.
- Siemens NX is desirable.
- Some level of proficiency in basic coding, e.g. Python.
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day‑to‑day activities are performed in English).
