Solutions Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solutions Engineer to help our customers implement our products in their systems, as well as assist our sales team in winning customers. We are dltHub, a creator of dlt - the most popular open-source library for data loading in Python with over 3 million monthly downloads. dlt is the “EL” layer of ELT: it extracts and loads data from any source into clean, typed datasets. Developers love it because it’s modular, LLM-friendly, and lets them create new connectors in minutes.

Building on this foundation, we’re now developing dltHub - a next-generation data engineering platform built on top of dlt. dltHub combines the Pythonic simplicity of dlt with enterprise-grade compliance, security, and scalability. It provides everything needed for modern data engineering, including transformations, data quality, managed runtimes, flexible storage options, observability, and agentic tooling - empowering developers to go from local experiments to production with a single command.

The solutions engineering team both manages post-sales activities and contributes to pre-sales activities. You will be a key member of this team, performing tasks like:

• Help our customers implement and deploy dlt OSS in their systems
• Guide the onboarding and support for our upcoming paid offering - dltHub platform
• Manage the full customer lifecycle
• Collaborate with our CEO to support the sales process, e.g. by building demos
• Be the voice of customer: gather feedback from customers and collaborate with the product team to address customer challenges and feature requests
• Manage customer-facing materials (documentation, presentations, website, training materials)
• Run training sessions with customers

• You are based in Berlin and willing to work in our office regularly
• Experience in a technical customer facing role (e.g. Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer or similar)
• Experience in a Data Engineering (or similar) role
• Quick learner, eager to explore new technologies
• Working knowledge of Python and data landscape solutions

• Experience teaching & communicating technical material
• Prior experience with dlt’s ecosystem, e.g.:
• Iceberg
• dbt
• Snowflake
• Databricks
• DuckDB
• Relational databases (Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Airflow
• Dagster
