Role and Responsibilities

As an SAP Application Architect at IBM Consulting, you are an expert in defining solutions for clients. Above all, you represent the client’s interests and lead the technical team in implementation and transformation. Additionally, you serve as the interface between business and technology. With your analytical skills and solution‑oriented approach, you develop flexible, comprehensive solutions tailored to each client.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Developing client analyses and concepts, optimizing and implementing their system and landscape architectures
• Managing or executing specific project components and scopes to ensure project timelines and deadlines are met
• Providing architectural oversight, technical guidance, and functional specifications based on business requirements

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 6–8+ years of experience in technical SAP consulting, SAP S/4
  
  HANA architectures, and S/4
  
  HANA transformations
• Experience with current SAP transformation models such as RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP
• Experience with the latest SAP technologies, including:
  • SAP Move to Cloud
  • SAP on Hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure)
  • SAP data transformation
  • AI enablement in SAP system landscapes
• Expert‑level focus on at least one technical SAP topic area (ideally with hands‑on experience), such as:
  • SAP S/4
    
    HANA architecture
  • SAP data transformation
  • SAP Basis cloud architecture
  • SAP platform integration
• Experience with at least 3 full life‑cycle S/4
  
  HANA transformations
• Subject matter expertise across multiple SAP solutions and industries
• Strong capabilities in leading global SAP project implementations and rollouts
• Ability and experience in developing own offerings and positioning them in the market
• Experience in collaboration with business partners and third‑party providers
• Skills and experience in engaging and communicating at C‑level
• Language skills:
  Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Completed university degree in a business, scientific, or technical field
• Strong communication skills and excellent negotiation abilities, as well as mental flexibility
• Well‑developed ability to analyze situations and solve problems
• Willingness to work on‑site with our clients
