We are looking for Technical Director to join our Energy Team in Germany.
As our Technical Director Energy you will be leading our Energy infrastructure related activities in Germany. Your key deliverables are:
- Further develop and support our energy business offerings.
- Provide technical leadership.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with local clients.
You will be based in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munich or Frankfurt am Main and can work partly remote through flexible, self-organized work.
This role offers you:
- Setting the vision and priorities for Arup’s Energy Business Plan in Germany.
- Driving the continued growth and market recognition of the Arup Energy Business and Arup Brand in Germany.
- Increasing Arup’s work on Energy projects across existing and new clients to secure a strong pipeline of work with a focus on Transmission System Operators in Germany.
- Developing and implementing new service pillars to further strengthen our existing service offerings in the fields of Renewable Energy Advisory (e.g. Technical Due Diligence, Project Management and Hydrogen).
- Contributing to both service offerings, Advisory Services as well as Engineering Design Services.
- Providing technical leadership to complex projects in the space of power transmission networks, electricity interconnectors, green hydrogen or geothermal.
- Promoting knowledge sharing skills and expertise in Arup across Europe.
All career paths are different. We look forward to receiving your application, even if you don't meet all our requirements:
- University degree in electrical engineering or other fields related to the energy sector.
- 20+ years of experience developing and implementing energy projects with a strong engineering background.
- 10+ years of experience leading project teams in the energy sector.
- Very good knowledge of the German energy market with focus on large utility companies and a strong network in the German energy market.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
- Flexible working:
The choice between a full-time or part-time model, working from home up to 3 days a week and up to 20 days a year from another country. - Personal development:
