Road Test Engineer Autonomous Driving (all genders)

The Autonomous Vehicle Road Testing team conducts all public road testing in Europe (currently across four cities), coordinates global road testing activities, and delivers high-visibility demonstration drives for politicians, investors, customers, and other key stakeholders worldwide.

In this role you take end-to-end responsibility for autonomous vehicle road testing and act as a key interface between development, operations, and testing.

• Coordinating and collaborating closely with development partners and MOIA teams regarding feature development for specific milestones.
• Steer the release, Dev Drop and map testing in Hamburg and support globally.
• Full responsibility for demonstration drives (vehicle and driver planning, upstream testing program, feature readiness, map quality).
• Assessing the current development status, creating and prioritizing issues, and ensuring issue resolution.
• Participating in regular test and feature planning meetings.
• Preparing and conducting escalations in case of delays to development goals.
• Managing global road test activities regarding planned feature rollouts and assessing new training needs for new features.
• Conducting test drives.

• A completed degree in mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, industrial engineering, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in vehicle testing
• Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving testing (strong plus)
• Background in operational environments (advantageous)
• Strong affinity for data and data analysis (advantageous)
• High motivation to learn new technologies and work in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• High willingness to travel internationally
• Business-level fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
