Friedrichshafen, Germany (Hybrid – 2 days home office per week)

As a Safety & Reliability Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated System, Safety & Security team, working on complex engineering projects across multiple industries.

You will take ownership of safety analyses and ensure compliance with relevant standards throughout the development lifecycle.

• Plan, conduct and manage safety processes and analyses

• Perform safety and reliability assessments (FMEA, FMECA, FMEDA, Fault Tree Analysis)

• Define safety goals and derive quantitative requirements

• Create and manage safety documentation according to standards such as:

  • ISO 26262

  • ARP
    4754 / ARP
    4761

  • EN 50126 / 50129

• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams (software, systems, data)

• Support technical discussions with customers when needed

• 3+ years of experience in Safety or Reliability Engineering

• Hands‑on experience with:

  • FMEA / FMECA / FMEDA

  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

• Knowledge of relevant safety standards (ISO 26262, EN 50126, ARP
  4754 or similar)

• Solid background in electrical engineering or related field

• Fluent German (C1 level) and good English (B2+)

• Completed technical university degree

• Experience with tools like Medini Analyze or Reliability Workbench

• Background in Automotive, Aviation, Rail or Defence industries

• Experience with embedded systems / ECUs

• Customer‑facing technical communication experience

• This role requires hands‑on safety engineering experience (not purely managerial profiles)

• Majority on‑site presence in Friedrichshafen is expected

• German language skills are essential for this position

• Salary: €72,000 – €90,000 + performance bonus (up to €5,000)
