FPGA /PLD Engineer – 6-Month Contract

We are seekinganexperiencedFPGA / PLD Engineer to support the development of industrial automation and embedded computer platforms ona6-month contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for FPGA architecture, development, verification, hardware integration and validation, working closely with hardware, embedded software, firmware andtest engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop FPGA and programmable logic solutions for industrial PCs, PLCs and embedded computer platforms.
- Design, implement, verifyand maintain robustFPGA architectures forlong-lifecycle industrial products.
- Support the full FPGA development lifecycle, including:
- Requirements analysis
- Architecture definition
- RTL coding
- Simulation and verification
- Testing and hardware bring-up
- Documentation and product support
- Design and integrate hardware interfaces andbus-based communication systems, includingPCI, PCIe andbackplane communication.
- Work closely with hardware, embedded software, firmware, test, product management and manufacturing teams to define interfaces and resolve integration challenges.
- Participate in schematic reviews, component selection and FPGApin assignment activities.
- Support designs involvingPCIe, LVDS andother high-speed communication standards.
- Contribute to signal-integrity consideration sand high-speedPCB design and routing.
- Support prototype bring-up, validation, testing, troubleshooting and debugging.
- Work with moderndevelopment tools, simulation environments, automated testing frameworks and version-control systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools and methodologies.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering,Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Scienceor a comparable technical discipline.
- Strong understanding ofdigital design principles, embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
- Experience with FPGAdevelopment usingVHDL, Verilog and/or System Verilog.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within cross-functional andinternationalengineering teams.
- Experience with FPGA development environments such as:
- AMD/Xilinx Vivado
- Microchip Libero
- Intel Quartus
- Lattice development tools
- Or comparable FPGAtoolsets
- Experience integrating third-partyIP blocks into FPGA designs.
- Knowledge of simulation, verification, scripting, automation and CI/CD.
- Experience with high-speed hardware interface sand communication protocols.
- Practical laboratory experiencewithoscilloscopes, logic analyser sand programmable power supplies.
- German language skills would be advantageous.
- Experience with moderndevelopment methodologies and engineering best practices.
