Would you like to strategically drive forward company-wide projects, processes and digitalisation initiatives? As Head of the Business Consulting & Projects Department (m/f/x), you will be responsible for project management governance, process optimisation and requirements management between business units and IT. Together with your team, you will establish standards, create transparency in complex projects and position the department as an internal consulting partner for organisational development, digitalisation and strategic change projects.
Responsibilities- Development and implementation of departmental strategies in line with overarching corporate and divisional objectives
- Establishment of company-wide project management governance and standardisation to improve project quality and success rates
- Defining and monitoring project management standards, including governance, roles, templates and reporting, as well as supporting cross-portfolio projects
- Managing and implementing cross-divisional projects and initiatives, and reporting to CFU management or the CMB on objectives, results, risks and developments
- Identifying, documenting, standardising and optimising business processes, as well as facilitating process improvements
- Co‑ordinating the requirements management process, including the collection, prioritisation and handover of requirements to IT, and monitoring their implementation
- Advising specialist departments on organisational issues, digitalisation potential and change management aspects
- Providing technical, organisational and disciplinary leadership for the department, as well as managing staffing decisions, staff development and succession planning within the defined framework
- A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Organisational Development or a comparable qualification
- Several years’ experience in a managerial role with responsibility for staff, managers, resources and complex organisational structures
- Substantial experience in project management, ideally using project management methodologies such as PMI, PRINCE2 or agile methods, as well as in project portfolio governance
- Experience in managing complex issues, projects, organisational units or cross-functional initiatives
- Knowledge of process management, business process optimisation and, ideally, process modelling
- Experience in requirements management and in collaborating with IT interfaces, for example requirements documentation, user stories or backlog management
- Consultancy experience or a consultancy mindset for advising business units and resolving complex organisational issues
- Very good written and spoken German and English
