A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Gas Services Europe & Africa – Controls and Digitalization (VP), you will take full strategic, general, and operational leadership of the Controls & Digitalization business across the region. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of SE GS EU&AF, you will be accountable for regional P&L, driving sustainable business growth, and guiding market penetration across multiple sub-regions.
In this role, you will lead the regional workforce, champion digital transformation, strengthen key customer partnerships, and position Siemens Energy as an industry-leading service partner.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and execute a structured, multi-product line growth strategy covering Controls, Electrical, and Digitalization solutions
- Translate regional strategy into operational ramp-ups across diverse sub-regions in Europe and Africa
- Lead business development initiatives, monitor competitive market dynamics and capture market share
- Hold full P&L accountability for the Service Controls & Digitalization business in Europe and Africa, consistently meeting and exceeding key financial targets and delivering on growth ambitions
- Guide regional business planning, channel management and forecasting activities
- Manage enterprise risks, defend Siemens Energy’s brand reputation, and ensure operations meet the highest ethical, moral, safety and quality standards
- Lead, mentor and empower multicultural, dispersed teams to foster a high-performance culture focused on business excellence and process simplification
- Identify and nurture local talent while driving the broader transformation journey by example
- Act as a strategic partner to major regional clients, cultivating long-term customer loyalty and high satisfaction
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (CD&NUC) and collaborate across regional business areas to leverage shared resources and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Technology, Business Management or a related field
- Extensive background in sales, service or project execution within the power generation industry (required)
- Proven track record of strategic planning and execution; prior direct P&L responsibility is highly desirable
- Strong track record of leading and developing diverse, multicultural teams across remote and local settings
- Demonstrated success in direct sales, aftermarket services or complex, multi-disciplinary project execution
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at senior executive levels
- Proficiency/Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; fluency in European or African languages is an asset
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally to support teams and engage with key customers, the role requires extensive travel (>50%)
