Senior Communications Manager – Analyst Relations
Join Canonical as a Senior Communications Manager – Analyst Relations. This senior position is part of our communications team, reporting to the Director of Communications, and will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
Job OverviewAs the voice of Canonical towards analysts and industry influencers, you will develop and implement a data‑driven analyst relations strategy to increase visibility, shape market perception, and support key product announcements across our portfolio. You will work closely with Product Management, Alliances, Sales, and Marketing to manage the perception of Canonical and its range of products among analysts, and will use AI‑powered technologies to conduct market research and assess analyst sentiment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and execute analyst‑focused communications plans for product announcements, new partnerships, and other initiatives in line with our go‑to‑market strategy.
- Proactively explore new technologies, such as AI, to analyze market trends and assess analyst perception and sentiment of Canonical and its products.
- Ensure that GenAI platforms developed by analyst firms contain accurate and up‑to‑date information about Canonical's portfolio.
- Craft and deliver compelling narratives about Canonical and its products in line with our company vision.
- Manage analyst relationships directly, coordinating touchpoints throughout the year via online briefings and industry events.
- Measure the impact of the AR program, report regularly to leadership, and implement tooling to improve collaboration and manage spend.
- Proactively position the company in key analyst reports to drive recommendations and strengthen the brand.
- Support the Director of Communications on corporate communications initiatives.
- Extensive experience in market research, analyst relations, or communications.
- Experience managing technology communications (agency or in‑house) or AR programs.
- A track record of delivering innovative and successful communications campaigns in the technology space, and enhancing company positioning through AR programs.
- Experience with cloud/SaaS/open‑source technology is advantageous.
- Strong analytical mindset and an intuition for the type of content that resonates best with analysts and industry influencers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge trusting relationships across cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and differentiate what matters, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Affinity for planning; experience with project‑management tools such as Jira is a plus.
- Background in product management or product marketing is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.
