The Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join Linktree’s Marketing team and become the analytical engine behind how we grow. In this role, you’ll turn complex, multi-source data into sharp insights that directly shape how we acquire, activate, and retain users at scale — influencing strategy from the ground up.
As a member of the Marketing team, you’ll partner closely with performance marketers, brand leads, and growth managers to design measurement frameworks, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and surface opportunities that drive real business outcomes. You’ll own the end-to-end analytics lifecycle — from data modelling and experimentation to insight delivery and executive-level storytelling.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thrives at the intersection of rigorous analysis and strategic influence. You’ll be expected to challenge assumptions, translate ambiguity into clarity, and help embed a data-first culture across everything Marketing does at Linktree.
What You’ll Own- Build and own the marketing analytics infrastructure — dashboards, data models, and automated reporting that give the team real-time visibility into performance across all channels
- Design and lead measurement frameworks for campaigns, including incrementality testing, attribution modelling, and multi-touch analysis that connect marketing spend to business outcomes
- Partner with performance marketing, brand, and growth teams to translate business questions into analytical work streams and deliver timely, high-quality insights
- Identify growth opportunities and risks by proactively mining data for signals that aren’t yet on the team’s radar, and presenting findings in a way that drives action
- Lead experimentation across marketing initiatives — designing A/B and multivariate tests, analysing results, and building institutional knowledge around what works
- Contribute to the development of Linktree’s marketing data stack, working with Data Engineering to improve data quality, coverage, and accessibility
- Champion data literacy across the Marketing function, helping stakeholders build intuition for metrics, interpret results correctly, and make better decisions faster
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a closely related field, with at least 2 years working in a marketing, growth, or consumer-facing context
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or R), with hands‑on experience building data pipelines, statistical models, and self‑serve reporting tools
- Deep understanding of marketing analytics — including attribution modelling, incrementality testing, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and campaign measurement
- Experience designing and analysing experiments (A/B tests, holdout tests) with a solid grounding in statistical inference
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership
- High comfort with ambiguity — you can define the right question, not just answer a pre‑defined one, and you’re energised by problems that don’t have obvious solutions
- Experience working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, product‑led organisation; ability to build trust with stakeholders and influence without direct authority
Our approach to benefits considers the whole person and the unique contributions they bring to Linktree. Some ways we support you:
- An annual wellbeing allowance to use on things such as fitness memberships, development courses, childcare, travel, charitable donations, pet insurance, home office set‑up — the choice is yours!
- 100% coverage (and 80% for your dependents) of your monthly premiums for medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance for US‑based employees.
- Employer contribution towards your retirement.
- Generous time off for vacation, holidays, parental leave, volunteer time, and other categories.
- Employee stock option programme — we want each and every employee to share in the company’s success.
