Stellenbeschreibung About the roleWe are looking for a Consultant (m/f/d) to join our Berlin team with proven Public Affairs experience and a strong affinity for politics/regulation, crisis communications, and special situations. You will work on complex, integrated projects across different sectors where business, politics, regulation, media and public opinion intersect.
This role suits a curious and hands-on adviser who can turn fast-moving political and regulatory developments into clear implications, compelling narratives and practical recommendations for clients. While Public Affairs will be a core part of the role, you will also work across a broad range of strategic communications assignments, including corporate communications, reputation management, crisis and issues management, transaction and special situations work.
We are looking for someone who enjoys variety and is excited to support clients wherever their most important communications challenges arise.
- Advise clients in high-stakes situations:
Support senior clients on political and regulatory scrutiny, crisis and issues management and other situations that may affect reputation or license to operate. - Analyze politics and regulation:
Monitor and assess political, legislative and regulatory developments; identify risks and opportunities; and translate complex information into concise, actionable advice. - Build credible strategies, narratives and content:
Develop high-quality communications strategies, materials and plans for political, media and corporate audiences. - Contribute to growth:
Support proposals and pitches and help strengthen our Public Affairs and special situations offer in Germany and internationally.
- Around 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Strategic Communications and Public Affairs, and / or in a political institution / an association / or a comparable advisory environment.
- Demonstrable experience of the German political and regulatory landscape; exposure to EU-level issues is an advantage.
- Experience in one or two of the following areas: political and regulatory analysis, stakeholder engagement, advocacy or campaigning, crisis and issues management, transaction communications, reputation management or corporate communications.
- The judgement and composure to work on sensitive, fast-moving and confidential mandates and a genuine interest in working across a broad spectrum of projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate political, regulatory and societal developments into business and communications implications.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex topics clear, concise and compelling for senior audiences.
- Excellent written and spoken German skills as well as fluent English.
