Sports Sponsorship Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Sports Sponsorship Coordinator to support their sponsorship acquisition and management efforts in Soweto. This role is crucial for building and maintaining relationships with sponsors, ensuring their needs are met while maximizing the value of partnerships. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will balance remote administrative tasks with in-person meetings and event support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a keen interest in the business side of sports.

• Assist in identifying potential sponsors and developing compelling proposals that align with their marketing objectives.
• Support the management of existing sponsorship agreements, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Coordinate the delivery of sponsorship benefits, including branding opportunities, event activations, and fan engagement initiatives.
• Liaise with internal teams (marketing, events, operations) and external sponsors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
• Track sponsorship performance metrics and contribute to reporting on ROI for partners.

• Previous experience in a coordination or administrative role, preferably within marketing, sales, or sports.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with essential on-site responsibilities.
