We are looking for a talented and experienced news editor to join our team and help lead our news coverage of the cryptocurrency industry.

Remote (Must be based in Europe, or willing to work equivalent hours)

As a News Editor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our fast-paced news coverage of the crypto and Web3 space, ensuring that articles are accurate, timely, and engaging. You will be responsible for a mix of writing, assigning, editing, and publishing daily content while working closely with other writers and editors to produce high-quality articles that meet our editorial standards.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the crypto and Web3 landscape, and a passion for telling interesting, thought-provoking stories.

• Content Production:
  Produce, manage, and oversee daily news coverage, including breaking news, feature stories, and investigative reports.
• Story Development:
  Identify and develop story ideas, assign stories to writers, and track the progress of news stories from inception to publication.
• Editorial Leadership:
  Provide guidance and feedback to writers, ensuring that all content is accurate, well-sourced, and aligns with our editorial standards.
• Editing and Proofreading:
  Edit and proofread news articles for clarity, accuracy, and style, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with other editors and writers to produce engaging news stories.
• Audience Engagement:
  Monitor audience engagement and feedback, using analytics to inform editorial decisions and improve content performance.

• Experience:
  
  A minimum of 2 years of experience leading a news team, managing and editing other writers. Experience in crypto news coverage is essential.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree.

• Crypto native:
  You live and breathe crypto and are eager to learn more.
• Crypto markets expertise and familiarity with traditional financial markets.
• Knowledge of U.S. and global crypto policy and regulation.
• Familiarity with DeFi and the mechanics of blockchain networks.
• Proven track record of managing breaking news and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing news environment.
• Familiarity with multimedia content, including video and podcast production, and social media.
