To strengthen our legal department at our headquarters in Munich, we are seeking a committed and business-oriented
Legal Counsel – Commercial, Contract & Procurement LawIn this role, you will provide legal advice to management and specialist departments, support contract negotiations and procurement-related matters, and contribute to the further development of legal templates, internal processes, and compliance-related standards.
Your responsibilities:- Negotiate and draft contracts in German and English, assess legal risks, and provide practical solutions in commercial and procurement matters
- Advise management and business teams on day to day legal questions and prepare clear legal assessments to support decision making
- Serve as a key legal contact for internal stakeholders in national and international business activities
- Develop and maintain contract templates
, legal standards, and internal legal processes to ensure consistency and efficiency - Coordinate external legal advisors and translate their input into actionable guidance for the business
- Support compliance and governance by integrating regulatory developments and internal guidelines into business processes
- Completed legal degree, ideally with First or Second State Examination, or a degree in commercial law
- First relevant professional experience in the legal department of an international company or in a business law firm is an advantage
- Well-qualified early-career candidates with a strong interest in in-house legal work are also welcome
- Good knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and ideally public procurement law
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex legal matters in a clear and understandable way
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and sound legal judgment
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English (min. level C1, CEFR)
- Structured and independent working style, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary and international setting
- Experience with public procurement law or regulated tender environments
- Exposure to intellectual property topics or compliance-related matters
- Experience in an international, project-based, or technology-driven business environment
- Additional language skills, especially French, Italian and/or Spanish
- A responsible and varied in-house legal role in an international working environment
- Close cooperation with management and specialist departments across the business
