As the Software Engineering Manager, you will lead Multipass, the workstation mini‑cloud that runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Multipass gives developers a local cloud experience to build, test, and run cloud appliances—without the overhead of a full cloud platform.

Technical leadership experience and a solid software engineering background are required. You will coach, mentor, and grow a remote engineering team while driving high‑quality delivery and influencing culture.

• Lead a team of remote engineers.
• Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and hands‑on career development.
• Set and manage expectations with engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
• Advocate and advance modern software development practices.
• Participate in code and architectural reviews.
• Engage with the open source community and partners.
• Work from home with global travel for 4–6 weeks per year.

• Strong people‑development skills and a track record of growing people.
• Focused on delivering timely, high‑quality software.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication.
• Expertise in modern C++ development.
• Cross‑platform experience on macOS and/or Windows.
• Knowledge of hypervisor technologies such as Hyper‑V, Virtual Box, and KVM.
• Open source experience and involvement.
