Senior Product Engineer (m/f/d) – Journee

Journee is a technology startup founded in 2020. Our low‑latency streaming technology and GPU fleet orchestration systems fuel award‑winning work with brands such as BMW, H&M, and Siemens.

We are building Ojin
, a real‑time generative AI platform for developers. Ojin provides APIs and inference infrastructure for developers to build and scale interactive applications and AI agents.

• End‑to‑End Ownership – Drive features and projects from concept to production deployment.
• Full‑Stack Web Development – Architect core web infrastructure using Type Script, React, and Node.js.
• AI & Agent Systems – Develop Python backends for AI capabilities, including proxy services, agentic systems, and conversational AI flows.
• Systems Architecture – Design scalable backend systems with architectural decisions that balance speed of delivery with long‑term reliability.
• Cross‑Functional Leadership – Collaborate closely with founders, designers, and other engineers to shape the product roadmap and technical strategy.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Startup experience is a must – navigate ambiguity and move fast without breaking things.
• Expert‑level front‑end (React, Type Script) and strong back‑end (Node.js, Type Script) skills.
• Proficient in Python with experience building backend systems for AI agents and conversational interfaces.
• Enthusiastic about UI/UX, product design, and making trade‑offs that benefit the customer.
• Rigorous design of complex systems that scale through years of hands‑on experience.
• Professional fluency in English, spoken and written.

• WebRTC and Web Socket experience for real‑time applications.
• Performance optimization for global, low‑latency systems.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC, AWS CDK) and AWS experience.
• Background in building developer tools, API platforms, or AI‑enabled products.
