As a Senior Python Developer at Talonic, you'll have a hands-on role building, training, and optimizing AI-driven systems and data tools. You’ll work closely with our technical team to develop backend architectures, fine-tune AI models, and help manage large-scale data operations.

This role is perfect for someone with a deep curiosity for data, who enjoys solving technical challenges, loves experimenting with AI models, and wants to help shape a young and ambitious company.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI & Data Development: Work on building, fine-tuning, and optimizing AI models, with a focus on practical applications.
• Backend Engineering: Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python, FastAPI, and similar frameworks.
• Data Management: Handle large datasets efficiently, collaborate on data ingestion, preprocessing, and organization tasks.
• Experimentation: Prototype new features, AI pipelines, and backend improvements quickly and effectively.
• Collaboration: Brainstorm and innovate with the team to push the boundaries of our AI and data platform.
• Bonus Points: Experience with Lang Chain, Hugging Face, OpenAI models, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is highly desirable.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development, ideally with strong backend or data-related projects.

(We’re open to this being your first senior role if you show strong technical depth and ownership.)

• Solid experience working with AI/ML models — training, fine-tuning, deploying, or building applications around them.
• Strong backend development skills, with experience in frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• High curiosity for data processes, and a genuine interest in making sense of complex datasets.
• Practical experience with databases such as Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB, or similar.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• High agency and self-motivation — you love taking ownership of problems and driving solutions.
• Good communication skills and a team spirit.
