Location:
This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region; candidates must be located in the EMEA region.
- Lead the lifecycle of the product development by reviewing the priorities and goals.
- Work closely with the engineering leads to oversee the product development process.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on priorities and keep business execution on track.
- Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
- Develop your team through coaching, mentoring and training.
- Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate them across Canonical.
- Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement.
- Contribute to strategies to create and maintain high performing teams.
- Contribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.
- Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and/or management of open source software in the cloud native landscape.
- Experience designing or managing software operations for large‑scale distributed systems.
- Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker containers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of common enterprise security and compliance requirements in software operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence.
- Passion to write about technologies and experience in developer marketing.
- A strong work ethic and personal interests aligned with the open source philosophy.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
- Experience with CNCF projects, identity or observability systems.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and passion for the future of technology.
- Strong sense of ownership over product and team success.
- Problem‑solving ability, out‑of‑the‑box thinking, visionary leadership.
