Cresta’s Core Platform underpins the company’s entire product portfolio. A critical component of this foundation is scalable authentication systems, tools, processes, and frameworks based on industry standards and security best practices. The authentication team will be responsible for building, maintaining, and delivering these requirements.

The team works closely with our security team and various other engineering teams to meet Cresta’s diverse authentication and security needs for internal workflows and external customer‑facing integrations.

• Play a substantial role in the platform frontend and authentication engineering team.
• Work with Cresta product and engineering teams to build and continuously improve the Cresta platform and new product requirements.
• Stay closely with customers and their requirements, analyze the technical tradeoffs, and own the customer‑facing deliverables.
• Demonstrate engineering best practices in deliverables and daily work. Uphold others to the same high standards.
• Take technical ownership of a substantial part of the Cresta authentication stack.
• Contribute to building the best‑in‑class company in addition to building the best‑in‑class product.
• Provide full‑stack support for Cresta’s 1st‑party and 3rd‑party authentication systems (frontend and backend).
• Build systems to authenticate users, service accounts, virtual agents, server workloads, and cloud‑based authentication for external integrations.
• Ensure secure sign‑in (password authentication, multi‑factor authentication, etc.) and application access.
• Create customized, streamlined, and frictionless customer‑specific auto‑login systems.
• Improve and migrate from legacy authentication systems to more modern industry‑based, standardized, and secure systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Strong computer science fundamentals.
• 8+ years of experience in relevant domains (Identity and Access Management).
• Very solid coding skills.
• Expertise in Golang for backend services (gRPC, Protocol Buffers).
• Familiarity with React or Angular and experience using at least one of them in large‑scale consumer‑facing products.
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining clear end‑to‑end authentication systems.
• Experience as a technical lead of full‑stack projects supporting various authentication and security product features.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate‑specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
