The Feature team of the Better Places tribe builds a world‑class location‑services solution integrating multiple providers for accurate geocoding, geocode corrections, and worldwide address information, using open‑source and proprietary data and algorithms to serve billions of requests.

• Driving the evolution of our geocoding systems from rule‑based logic to ML‑based matching and normalization.
• Building and improving confidence and relevance scoring models, including automated false‑positive detection.
• Developing and product ionizing data‑driven solutions to improve geocoding quality.
• Exploring and prototyping new use cases, such as "last meter" challenges.
• Automating benchmarking and evaluation pipelines to measure model performance.
• Driving cross‑team initiatives, contributing to the long‑term data strategy, and mentoring more junior data scientists.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science with a proven track record of product ionizing complex models and tackling geospatial data challenges.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, combined with hands‑on experience in AWS (Athena, Sage Maker), Snowflake, and dbt.
• Practical experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or Dagster) and data visualization via Metabase or Quick Sight.
• Ability to autonomously develop new strategies from scratch and identify high‑impact opportunities within vast datasets.
• Strong ownership mindset and communication skills to drive cross‑functional projects and mentor team members.

• Hands‑on experience or a deep interest in applying LLMs and modern AI‑driven features in a product environment.
