Software Test; QA) Automation Engineer - AI Startup; Remote EU time zone

About Occibo Occibo is an AI-powered SaaS platform for children's book creation, built by Indie Kidz GmbH in Berlin. We are a small, remote-first team looking for a QA Engineer to help us build and maintain automated testing so we can ship new features quickly and with confidence.

Full-time position. Salary: up to 3.5 lakhs per year

• Build end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web app
• Write test plans, test cases, and regression suites for core user flows
• Translate product requirements into automated checks, including edge cases
• Collaborate with the development team on test data strategies and stable selectors
• Add API level tests to support UI testing and improve overall reliability
• Run tests in CI pipelines, track failures, and help keep the test suite stable and maintainable
• Use AI tools to speed up test creation, analysis, and maintenance
• Document testing processes, findings, and quality recommendations

Tools you will work with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Vitest, Git Hub Actions, Postman

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in software testing or QA automation
• Experience with at least one test automation framework — Playwright or Cypress preferred
• Comfortable with JavaScript or Type Script and Git
• Understanding of CI pipelines and reliable test design
• Experience using AI tools in a testing or development workflow
• Fluent English
• Comfortable working in EU time zones or with significant overlap during European business hours
• Motivated to work in an early‑stage startup environment where things move fast and ownership is expected

• Prior SaaS UI automation experience
• API testing experience with Postman or REST clients
• Based in Indonesia or able to work in the Indonesia time zone
