Game Economy Designer (f/m/d)

Kolibri Games – a mobile game studio based in Berlin. We create idle games that millions of players enjoy worldwide. We are looking for a Game Economy Designer to join our Idle Bank Tycoon team and help us shape the game’s economy, build models for new features, design challenges and promotions based on player behaviour, and ensure a healthy balance across inflation, progression and in‑game systems.

• Design and implement game features, monetization and economy systems that fulfill player needs and are sustainable.
• Design and iterate on player progression and game balance to deliver an optimal player experience and ensure economic health over time.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists and developers to integrate balancing and economic considerations into all aspects of development.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and spreadsheet models to track and manage economic systems.
• Develop systems to prevent exploits, inflation or imbalances caused by unexpected player behaviour.
• Leverage data (KPIs), player feedback and segmentation to refine game balance and optimize features.
• Stay updated on modern mobile F2P market trends and incorporate relevant insights to improve the game.

• Strong grasp of economy and balancing.
• Advanced experience with Excel and Google Sheets.
• Basic understanding of player psychology and gaming motivations.
• Experience working on mobile games.
• Experience with data analysis.
• Familiarity with Unity.
• Good knowledge of the modern mobile F2P market.
• Monetization knowledge.
• Strong communication skills in English.
