The Technical Solutions Engineer bridges the gap between customer requirements and technical solutions. In this role, they support the sales team by analysing customer needs, designing tailored technical solutions and demonstrating how the company's products and services address operational, financial and regulatory challenges in the energy sector.

The ideal candidate is a German speaker, has previous experience with power grid operators in the German-speaking region and combines solid technical knowledge with customer-facing communication skills, in order to help build new business relationships and expand existing customer relationships.

The position requires experience with the planning and/ or operation of power grids and their assets and data.

• Collaborating with sales to qualify opportunities, understand customer requirements and identify the business value of the company's software solutions for the customer.
• Translating the customer's business requirements into technical solution designs and architectures.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and workshops.
• Responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and technical questionnaires.
• Participating in industry events/ trade fairs.
• Developing tailored solution proposals based on the company's software portfolio, aligned with the customer's needs, infrastructure, processes and regulatory requirements.
• Working with the product management team to ensure feasibility, scope and business value.
• You act as the technical advisory contact for the customer in order to build a trusted business relationship and help generate the maximum business value from the company's software portfolio for the customer.
• You support the initial customer conversations in the sales cycle in order to understand the customer's challenges and develop customer solutions from them.
• You support the customer's project team during implementation.

• You work closely with the sales, product and implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation and operation of the company's software.
• You support the product team in the further development of the company's software portfolio with regard to the specific needs of customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• You support the documentation of customer solutions.

• German speaker (mandatory), English (technical proficiency) desirable.
• Several years of experience with power grid operators in the DACH region, in the planning or operation of power grids and their electrical assets; TSO and DSO.
