Job Description:
The company we support is one of the world's leading suppliers of state-of-the-art measuring instruments for color / surface appearance evaluation and contributes to optimizing precision in quality control in a wide range of industries. As part of the group, the German subsidiary based in Munich is seeking a strategic account manager to drive further growth across DACH and other selected European markets.
and responsibilities
- Develop strategic customers by major industry segments and grow sales to these accounts along the supply chain
- Drive regular customer engagement, pipeline creation, opportunity follow-up, and sales growth in alignment with area sales priorities
- Develop and maintain networks with key people, influencers, and ecosystem partners in the relevant industry segments
- Research and analyze market segments, including trends, technologies, competitors, customer applications, and purchasing drivers
- Analyze customer needs to identify new business opportunities with existing products, solutions, and services or selective hardware / software improvements
- Provide concise business cases for priority opportunities, including customer value, potential revenue, timing, support, and commercial risks
- Act as a bridge between customers, sales, service, product management, and business development to ensure alignment of priorities, customer expectations, and timelines
- Represent the company at selected exhibitions, seminars, conferences, and customer events, including speaking opportunities where appropriate
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical, engineering, or scientific discipline
- Several years of experience in selling high-end technical solutions to B2B customers, preferably in quality assurance, production, R&D, or application-driven industry departments
- Proven experience in strategic account development and consultive selling
- Proactive attitude, strong drive to achieve results, and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple accounts and stakeholders
- Learning mindset, business acumen, persuasiveness, and strong selling talent
- Ability and willingness to translate new technologies and customer needs into new solutions
- Good communication, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent German and excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
- Experienced PC user and good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools
- Hybrid working style, combining office work, remote work, and frequent customer visits
- Frequent travel by car or plane within the assigned area
- Close collaboration with area sales, service, product management, and business development
