Short Term Quantitative Developer

Charles Levick has partnered with a leading player in the Energy Trading sector and is looking to recruit a highly motivated Quantitative Developer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation.

Your role & responsibilities:

• Contribute to short-term power trading and make trading decisions based on fundamental analysis.
• Support algorithms to improve commercial decision-making.
• Analyse market data to develop and refine trading strategies.
• Collaborate with other trading departments to develop an analytical platform that enhances market insights and supports future strategies.
• Work on renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, along with flexibility assets like batteries and electrolysers, using a modern cloud-based IT platform.
• Create and enhance analytical dashboards with Business Intelligence tools.

Must have:

• A degree in natural sciences, engineering, or economics (diploma, master’s, or PhD).
• Familiarity with energy markets, statistical models, and time series analysis is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL/No
  
  SQL or other database query languages is an advantage.
• A team-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high motivation, eagerness to learn, and a hands-on approach.
• Proficiency in both German and English.
