• Create the category plan based on market data, competitive analyses, customer insights, and internal performance figures.
• Ensure execution of defined category tactics to increase innovation power and strategic fit.
• Define and manage the assortment, including listings, delistings, product lifecycle decisions, and introduction of new products.
• Co‑develop the sourcing strategy with the Commodity Lead and support supplier collaboration and supplier performance evaluation.
• Work with Product Marketing and Brand Management to develop the category go‑to‑market approach (promotions, campaigns, positioning).
• Drive portfolio health by continuously optimizing pricing, margin, sourcing mix, and category architecture.
• Generate market and customer insights through customer visits, cooperation with sales teams, fair visits, and trade events.
• Lead or contribute to category‑wide projects (e.g., portfolio optimization, sustainability initiatives, quality programs).
• Act as knowledge carrier for category‑specific overarching topics.
• Conduct or support category trainings.

• At least 5 years of experience in category management.
• Business fluent German and English.
• Experience in product management in B2B environment in the field of packaging.
• Additional experience in the field of transport and warehousing is a plus.
• Willingness to travel.
