Nuclear Surety and Policy Specialist

The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

As a Nuclear Surety and Policy Specialist, you will work alongside thought leaders in nuclear weapon surety, security, and policy on projects for multinational and joint coordination efforts. You will use your expertise to support nuclear deterrence and defense function requirements and provide analytical support for policy and plans, assisting efforts focused on nuclear surety mechanisms that lead to enhanced readiness across commands.

Work with us in enhancing collaboration on nuclear defense activities by fostering strong partnerships between NATO, CCMD Staff, Service Components, and other DoD and non-DoD organizations. You will develop and maintain relationships with host and partner nation counterparts to support nuclear reporting, information sharing, and preparedness planning, including joint exercises. Additionally, you will work to improve coordination with DoD combat support agencies and interagency partners, while aligning nuclear surety capabilities to address various threats in theater alongside regional and international counterparts.

As a key contributor to the CBRN defense and nuclear policy team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on nuclear, CBRN defense, and arms control matters, leveraging your experience advising senior military officers. You will facilitate the creation and implementation of nuclear surety and policy initiatives, analyze deterrence and defense issues to enhance force posture and readiness, and contribute to nuclear operations planning.

Your role will involve strengthening strategic deterrence posture through multinational, multi-command, and joint coordination, while developing frameworks to onboard new partners and stakeholders into existing policies and programs.

Additionally, you will support certification and training processes related to nuclear surety, provide insights to inform senior-level decision-making, and collaborate with diverse teams to achieve shared objectives. You will also develop and review technical reports, security plans, and policy documents, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and NATO regulations, while staying informed on advancements in nuclear technology, policy, and security. Finally, you will provide support to the CBRN defense team as needed.

Further your career while creating mission-forward solutions that matter.
