A growing international IoT company is looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of the automated production test systems behind its industry-leading smart water monitoring devices.

This is far more than a traditional firmware role. You’ll develop the embedded firmware and Python applications that test every device before it is shipped to customers worldwide, working at the intersection of firmware, software, hardware and manufacturing
.

• Own a production-critical system used to test every IoT device before it leaves the factory
• Work directly with the end users of your software
  , receiving immediate feedback and seeing the impact of your work every day
• Combine embedded C, Python, hardware integration and automated testing in one highly varied role
• Collaborate closely with embedded firmware specialists while working alongside hardware engineers and production teams
• High levels of autonomy
  , short decision-making paths and real technical ownership
• Help improve manufacturing quality and efficiency for products used by water utilities around the world

• Developing embedded firmware (C) for automated production test systems
• Building Python applications to control, automate and monitor production testing
• Integrating software with hardware, measurement equipment and production fixtures
• Working closely with production teams to continuously improve testing processes and reliability

• Strong experience with Embedded C and Python
• Experience developing hardware-related software or automated test systems
• Someone who enjoys working close to hardware, manufacturing and end users
